| PANAMA FAQ |
HERE IS PANAMA LOCATED?Panama is the southernmost country in Central America, bordered on the north by Costa Rica and on the south by Columbia. Its east and west edges are bounded by the coastlines of the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean. WHY PANAMA?With more species of birds than found in all of North America as well as an incredible array of plant and animal life, Panama boasts one of the most unique ecosystems in the world. It also enjoys a modern infrastructure and diversity of cultures living harmoniously, as well as a low cost, but high standard of living. Panama is one of the friendliest, most culturally diverse, safest and least touched places in Central and South America. DO I REQUIRE A VISA TO ENTER PANAMA?No. You are welcome to visit Panama for up to three months without any special documentation, much like traveling to the US. IS PANAMA POLITICALLY STABLE?Panama is a stable multi-party constitutional democracy with three branches of government. Since the US invasion in 1989, Panama has enjoyed stability and a growing economy. It now puts it resources towards expansion, upgrades and internal security, making it one of the safest and most advanced places to visit in all of South and Central America. CAN A FOREIGNER OWN PROPERTY?Yes. In fact, the government encourages foreigners to live and invest in Panama by offering a variety of incentive programs. These include retiree benefits, one of the lowest tariffs in the world, tax exoneration on new construction, visa & passports and many more. IS REAL ESTATE STILL A GOOD INVESTMENT?History has proven that real estate has been the only investment that has consistently increased. The stock market, bonds, precious antiques, foreign currency and others have all had their ups and downs, but real estate has continued to rise in value, and there is no evidence to support the idea that this trend will not continue. The reason is simple; land cannot be replaced. When a particular property is sold and/or developed, that specific piece of land can never be duplicated. |
